I’m very vanilla when it comes to chocolate; I just want milk chocolate — no nuts, no mint, no shells, no dark chocolate, no caramel, no orange. But I love M&M’s.
The adverts I mean.
I’ve always admired M&M’s adverts. They’re not afraid to take risks. For the most part, they’re hilarious, fun, memorable, versatile, and star-studded (Billy West, JK Simmons, Vanessa Williams, Cree Summer, and more). Because of that, I thought an M&M’s advert would be a fun first entry (I know, it’s way over by 2–4 seconds).
Although I know they wouldn’t cast her unless it’s for a Super Bowl spot, I chose Maya Rudolph because she elevates all her characters and the scenes they’re in, plus she’d be perfect for this particular story. Her role as Connie the hormone monstress on Big Mouth is her most beloved role and everyone goes crazy over her quirky pronunciation of “bubble bath.”
